- I love my Supra. You can actaully get quite a bit of information from
- the lcd display, type of connection, speed of both transmit and
- receive, any errors or retrains. It's not quite as nice as some
- others, PPI and Penril, but it gives a heck of a lot more info than
- just status lights.
- I see you are on cybernex, I know that they use Motorola Powers for
- their dial-in, which at one time were difficult for Supra's to connect
- to. I have tested their dial-ins with a Supra recently and haven't
- found any real problems, except that a bad init string will cause very
- low speed connections. Just use the init string that your dialer
- picks for the modem and you should be ok.
- Make sure that you get the Supra FaxModem 288, and not the express,
- flash upgradability enabled Supra to turn a mediocre modem into a
- great modem.
